Whether or not you believed this story or not, it was an excellent marketing
ploy. In my opinion, you should have kept it going to the very end, then
revealed the “lie” behind the “truth”. Many people have made their personal
lives public through the internet for their own personal glory, this is
nothing different. Look at what Tucker Max did. He created an intenet dating
application and is now enjoying the money he’s made for being a drunken
asshole. So what?
If you have a Myspace, web journal or anything else you are displaying your
private life for millions to look at and judge. This story is no different,
other than you were a sucker enough to buy into it if you did so.
It was brilliant. Who wouldn’t feel sorry for an average joe who, at the age
of 25, hadn’t been laid? And if you didn’t feel bad for him, you thought he
was a loser. Either way, you gave him publicity and he got his 15 minutes of
fame like he wanted to begin with.
Now let’s all move on to the next asshat who wants his. ;)
